Before my Boudoir photo shoot, I was excited but apprehensive (who wouldn’t be?) but on the day, I had an absolute ball. It was great fun and I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone.
Nick and Anne are really relaxing and very quickly put me at ease. I had a good idea of the type of shots I wanted (and a definite idea of those I didn’t want) Nick and Anne listened to my ideas and helped me to achieve them.
Also,with gentle suggestion (but definitely NO pressure), they gave me the encouragement I needed to be just a little braver and have some pictures I wouldn’t, beforehand, have seen myself doing .
I absolutely love the resulting shots It’s so good for the soul to see just how good your good bits really are!

The biggest thing I can say to both of you is that not once did I feel uncomfortable having my picture taken. In fact, amazingly, I got quite into it by the end!!

Dear Nick and Anne, The course was brilliant and the focus and level perfect. It has made me feel much more confident in knowing what I want to do.
Now I have to search for some brilliant subjects, it has given me more encouragement and confidence to be creative and experiment more with the settings.
I have downloaded the photos taken today and so impressed with how much sharper and balanced my pictures are, even though we were just playing around. Where’s summer? I want to get out there!
I am also keen to experiment with RAW images too, specifically for cropping and not losing the quality. I am so glad you explained that because I have always been told using RAW was only really for photos which are to be published.

We recently commissioned Nick and Anne from Footprint Photography to document refurbishment words that we were carrying out at Silversmiths Restaurant in Sheffield (www.silversmiths-restaurant.com).
The refurbishment work required by our client was to completely take out their old kitchen and replace with brand new units to their specification.

Many thanks for an outstanding family photoshoot – not only are we thrilled with the pictures taken but we also had a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon! We were made extremely welcome in your lovely home which provided the perfect balance of professional studio and warm, comfortable environment.

Wedding Photography Training Workshop
I recently shadowed Nick and Anne Sievewright of Footprint Photography at a wedding they were shooting in Harrogate. They both made me feel very welcome and were extremely easy to get along with.
Not once did I feel in the way, especially as wedding shoots can sometimes be very stressful situations. I was clearly briefed on what my role would be which made it a relaxing and enjoyable experience.
One of the best things about my Footprint shadowing experience was that I picked up many tips and tricks of the wedding photography trade as both Nick and Anne are very forthcoming about sharing the skills that they have learned over the years.
Where some professionals close their doors with regards to sharing their skills and experience, I found Nick and Anne at Footprint Photography to be open, encouraging and a delight to deal with.
Following the shadowing experience, Nick invited me for a second tutorial in post production using ‘Adobe Lightroom 3′ which is one of the best tools in post production photography. Nick is a patient, thorough and excellent teacher and I came away from the experience much richer in knowledge and motivated to utilise the new skills I had learned.
I would encourage anyone who is interested in honing their skills in photography or post production to contact Footprint and I very much hope to work with them again in the future.

Digital SLR Camera Training Session 1:1 with Dorothy Arthur
Hi Nick,
I really enjoyed my photography lesson yesterday. It was superb! Particularly because it was a 1:1 session and we could focus on all my questions.
You were very patient and took the time to explain and clarify things, which for an experienced photographer may be quite simple, but for me as a beginner quite large obstacles.
I found Photoshop amazing….the things you can do to recover or improve a photo; the importance of histograms; how to straighten buildings, etc.
I’m also greatly inspired by your artistic use of depth of field. I had only seen DOF as a necessary technique to ‘blot out’ unwanted objects rather than to encourage people to see what you want them to focus on.

Footprint Photography helped secure the sales instruction by doing an excellent job for us and using professional cameras whereas the previous estate agent had gone around the property and only used the camera on his mobile phone which didn’t impress the vendor at all.
The property is fairly substantial and there were various features we wanted to be highlighted in the photographs. Nick provided us with 63 photos which is far more than we normally get from other photographers. This selection allowed us to choose several for immediate use with many other photos which we could use to update our website in due course.
When dealing with vendors and using 3rd party businesses such as Footprint Photography any issues reflect directly on our business. With Nick the vendor was full of praise which also reflected very well for us

Having met Nick and Anne from Footprint Photography and discussed the project we wanted them to photograph we were confident that they could deliver the results we required
The brief was to photograph a 6 storey building being demolished with explosives but to use high speed photography to capture the building in various stages of collapse
On the day of the demolition it snowed heavily and Nick and Anne were stuck on the side of the road for over an hour but kept in contact with us and still made it to site on time
When they got to site they only had a few minutes to be briefed and to get into position before the building came down but the images they captured for us were excellent and exactly what we wanted

Family Portrait Studio Shoot
I had a fantastic photo shoot at Footprint Photography last month. I explained to Nick and Anne that I wanted some informal shots of my children and they suggested that I bring along changes of clothing and fancy dress so that the children could dress up as their favourite characters.
The whole shoot was fun and relaxed. Despite two hyperactive children causing mayhem Nick and Anne were patient throughout and achieved excellent pictures which are now the envy of many of my mummy friends

Camera Training and Photoshop Tutorial Sessions
As part of a photography training session I recently joined join Nick and Anne Sievewright of Footprint Photography at a wedding shoot in Harrogate. They both made me feel very welcome and were extremely helpful from the moment I arrived. I was fully briefed on what to do and was encouraged to shoot photos in a relaxed documentary style which made it an enjoyable and educational experience.
One of the best things about my Footprint shadowing experience was that I learnt many tips and tricks of the wedding photography trade as both Nick and Anne are very experienced and forthcoming about sharing the skills that they have learnt over the years.
Where some professionals close their doors with regards to sharing their skills and experience, I found Nick and Anne from Footprint Photography to be open, encouraging and a delight to share the day with.
Following the shadowing experience, Nick invited me to their studio some days later for a tutorial in ‘Adobe Lightroom 3′ which is one of the best tools in post production photography.
Nick is a patient, thorough and excellent teacher and I came away from the experience much richer in knowledge and motivated to utilise the new skills I had learnt.
I would encourage anyone who is interested in honing their skills in photography or post processing in either Photoshop or Lightroom to contact Footprint Photography and I very much hope to work with them again in the future.

Photography Training Workshop
As a new DSLR user I had been looking around for a photography course for a while, and as I’m not one for reading the manuals or tutorials, Footprint’s tailored 1-2-1 photography session appealed to me as a perfect solution.
The session was tailored to me, my photography needs and my camera, and I was very impressed with the array of coverage in just a 4 hour session; basic essential tips such as how to hold the camera, effective lens changing, cleaning and care; advanced techniques such as Aperture, Shutter speeds, ISO, Exposure and Depth of Field; practical photography with my camera and also the chance to use Footprint’s equipment; and finally a quick overview of Photoshop.
In summary I attended the course knowing very little about photography and how to use my camera, and I left feeling very confident and extremely eager to get out and use my camera (and purchase some new lenses)!
For me it definitely released me from the green auto setting, and I would highly recommend Footprint’s training to anyone who is new to photography, and I look forward to arranging another session with Nick and Anne once I’ve put my new skills into practise. – Best Wishes Adam

We have been trying to capture the essence of how Powerchair Football is used by disabled people in pictures for some time. You were asked and immediately said yes.
You attended a recent training session where players had travelled up to an hour and a half just to train for what is the only sport that some of them participate in. We were able to run a near normal session with you both taking action and still shots.

Photography Training Session
Hi Nick & Anne, I really want to thank you both for time taken to teach me how to use my digital SLR. I was stumped on anything except the automatic settings and very frustrated when things didn’t come out as I wanted them to but your easy way and lots of patience has really paid off.
By the end of my session with you both I had a good understanding of the different modes and can now confidently choose Aperture or Shutter priority to match the situation and you even got me to experiment with Manual and showed me how to make the best use of on camera and off camera flash too. The confidence I have now to take my photography further knows no bounds.

Sarah & Andrew – Honeymoon in Sri Lanka
We met Nick & Anne by chance at sunset on a beach in Sri Lanka. Andrew and I were on our honeymoon and Nick & Anne had been flown out to photograph a wedding. We’ve had a through look through the photos and we’re absolutely delighted with them. Sorry its taken so long to get back to you. There aren’t any changes necessary (to the low-res images uploaded to the viewing website), we’re happy with the result you’ve already achieved. If you could sent us the disk with the images on that would be great as we’re eager to plug the laptop into the telly to see them on the big screen!

We are launching a new company website and knew that the photographs on the site had to show both the professional image we want to convey but were also somehow different enough to really draw the eye.
When we came to see you, you listened to us and to our ideas before taking us into the studio to shoot the photographs. During the shoot you involved us at each step of the way by showing us the photos in camera as you took them and discussing what you wanted to achieve. You made us very relaxed and proved that even corporate photography can be lots of fun. The more we enjoyed ourselves the better the photographs became
We were working to a very tight timescale to get the finished photos to the web developer and you responded wonderfully by showing us proof copies on your website within a couple of hours and then working quickly to provide the finished results

The Wiseman Family Portrait Session
A special thanks to Nick and Anne for the stunning photographs they produced during our family shoot. Our 13 month old daughter was very uncooperative on the day and I anticipated a less than successful outcome. I am pleased to say that I was very far off the mark!
The pictures were miraculous. I am not at all photogenic and yet am now seriously considering giving up plumbing and going into modelling as a career, they made us all look relaxed and natural.
Due to the hours that I work they were more than happy to work around my schedule and do what best suited us as a family. This meant a Sunday morning which I am sure is not the norm amongst photographers of their calibre. I don’t believe this was any special one off for us, but rather what they do for everyone.

Boudoir / Lingerie Shoot for Stacey
I want to say a huge thank you to Nick and Anne from Footprint Photography. The shoot that I did with them was so much fun, plus the photos were excellent too!
I had booked a boudoir session with them which involved lingerie, topless and artistic nude shots with them and I loved it!
Nick and Anne make you feel so comfortable and relaxed which makes it so much easier and the photos are ten times better as a result as you look more natural being completely at ease. They didn’t tell me to get naked or anything, in fact they wanted to start off fully clothed but I offered to go nude first so i didn’t get strap marks!
They are not pushy and work to your speed and confidence. They can give you lots of direction to get the best poses for your body shape and they encourage your input and for you to experiment with poses you like.
I was there just over 2 hours and we laughed and joked the whole time and by the end of it I was just so comfortable walking around naked! It felt so liberating just to walk around the room and not feel self conscious or feel like anyone was judging me or anything
I would definitely want to work with these two again, and cant wait for the next opportunity. The photos that we produced have made an fantastic addition to my portfolio. Plus my boyfriend loved them all too!
