Aerial Photography

A few days ago I was in Laughton En Le Morthern, a lovely village not far from Dinnington and Worksop to do an aerial photography shoot of a farm and its grounds for Steph Evans of My Place Your Home estate agents. Their website

I met Steph at the property and first of all we had a walk round of the whole plot – it is large with massive fields at the end of the long garden – to get a feel of what was required and how I was going to fly it to get the best angles to showcase the property and grounds.

That done I set up the drone, did my pre flight checks, completed my paperwork and we were ready. The property is bounded by other houses and I’ve found over the years it is better to go and knock on any appropriate doors of nearby homes, explain who I am and what I’m doing before I take off so that neighbours are aware of a drone in the air.

The quality of the photographs

When I shoot aerial video it is always done in 4k and when I shoot aerial photographs they are shot in raw and then converted in post to hi-res jpegs, that way my clients get the maximum quality but in workable file sizes
